Glass in Gudhjem Museum

‘Five of the best Bornholm glass artists show their work in Gudhjem Museum on Bornholm, Denmark. Bornholm is, with good reason, famous for its many skilled artisans. They help to paint the picture of an area where quality and aesthetics are paramount, and where artists can be inspired and work freely while maintaining a strong mutual unity.
Since 2002, the most talented professional artisans have found together in ACAB, Arts & Crafts Association Bornholm. ACAB is a censored association where each individual craftsman is approved by an external assessment committee before admission. In 2015, ACAB was admitted to World Craft Council Europe, which is the European branch of the worldwide arts and crafts organization WCC. The five exhibitors, Mia Lerssi, Maj-Britt Zelmer Olsen, Svend Holst-Pedersen, Ulla Hein and Baltic Sea Glass, who are all members of ACAB, have very different expressions, while the material glass is what binds them together.’ Gudhjem Museum, 2020.
